New Windows Infrastructure Administrator
We are pleased to announce that Marmot has hired Christina Lopez as our new Windows Infrastructure Administrator. Christina comes to Marmot with a rich history of work experience in libraries related to technology. Following her completion of a Masters of Library and Information Science at the University of Denver, she has served in a variety of IT roles at Arapahoe Library District, Arapahoe Community College, Denver Public Library, and Mesa County Libraries. The hiring committee was particularly impressed by her insightful questions and evidence of a high degree of self-directed learning goals. Hiring Christina not only helps with the workload fielded by the SysAdmin department; her background in libraries reinforces Marmot’s history of expertise in delivering infrastructure and cybersecurity services that work for libraries’ unique needs.
The Windows Infrastructure Administrator position is the newly created position approved by the Marmot Executive Board following discussion at Council last year regarding staffing priorities. This role will play an important role in supporting all Marmot services, ensuring the our Windows server environment's stability, security, and optimal performance. Christina will begin at Marmot on April 29th. Please join us in welcoming her to the Marmot family.
